Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Our favorite Bible verse, (Ps. 2:11) "Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling." Has given us peace and power when we are serving Him in ALL situations in Panama. God has strengthened us when we were weak; He humbles us when we were richly blessed.

The following are praises and blessings occurred in the past few months.

1. Trip to Far East: Praise the Lord that we have two months of Home Assignment. We spent 4 weeks in Far East. Our first stop was Singapore. A former couple of Obarrio Alliance Church (OAC) members picked us up at the airport and treated us really like Ambassador of Christ in the next 7 days. They said that it is their honor to take care God's servants. What a blessing! The next stops were Hong Kong and China. We spent some time with family members and some friends we had known over 60 years. We also went to Far Yuen, Canton to meet several OAC members' families. Some of these parents complained that their sons for closing business on Sunday in Panama. We had a good time of sharing the Gospel and explained to them the unexpected God's blessings of closing business on Sunday in Panama. They deeply concerned for their children's future in Panama. After this Far Yuen visitation, we feel that we have more responsibilities to take care of the Spiritual and physical well-being of OAC members.

2. 40th wedding Anniversary: Our 3 daughters and sons-in-law planned a family gathering at Yosemite, CA to honor our 40th Anniversary. We received a photo Album titled "40 years of Celebration". Three daughters secretly went through hundreds of family pictures taken in last 40 years in our SF home. They selected about 135 pictures to put into this album. Each picture carries its precious memory. The inscriptions written by our daughters in the album really touched our hearts. For example: "We draw strength from God in tough time from watching how Mom and Dad handled their trials. We thank our parents to provide us the most important lessons; which is to always trust in God and to come before God in ALL areas"

We are not perfect parents. We thank God for helping us to pass our trust and love to the Lord to our next generations.

3. Short Term Mission (STM), Lay Pastor Training, Camps: From June to August, 2008, we will lead or co-ordinate several STM serving in different cities in Panama. A Lay Pastor Training is scheduled from June 23 to June 28. The 6th English Camp will be held at Camping Resort Hotel from July 28 to August 1. Our church will host the Missionary Experiencing Camp from July 11 to July 21. Also, a special Consultation Meeting for the Latin America is scheduled in July, 2008 in Panama. They are here to plan, to mobilize, and care for the current as well as the future ministries in Latin America countries.

Please remember all of the above coming events in your prayers. May we serve and glorify Him in a much better and effective way.

Your Co-worker in Christ,
Louie and Kim Mar in Panama
